Banana Cake Recipe

Do you have over-ripened bananas and you do not know what to do with them? Go for a Banana Cake, it is easy, tasty, and quick to do.
This recipe is loaded with potassium and magnesium from the bananas and it is low in fat.

Makes: 26 pieces

Calories per piece: 160 kcal

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  •  2 eggs
  • 6 small bananas (ripe)

Steps:

  1. Heat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit)
  2. Grease a pan 30 cm diameter with a very little amount of batter
  3. Mix ingredients with awhisk
  4. Add the batter to the pan
  5. Place in the oven for 30-40 minutes
  6. To check if it is doneinsert a toothpick in the cake, it should come out as clear and nothing
    sticking to it

Small tip: if you have ripe bananas and you are not planning on using them right away, peel them and put them in the freezer.
